How to connect FTX.US account to Alpha Impact?

Alpha Impact has recently launched FTX.US integration on our web app. Read more to find out how to link your FTX.US account in 6 simple steps!

What is an API key?

An application programming interface (API) key is a code to identify and authenticate an application or user. When you provide this key to Alpha Impact, our servers will be able to connect to your FTX.US exchange account and reflect your FTX.US account information on your Alpha Impact profile. 

How to get FTX.US API Key?

Step 1: Log into FTX.US on desktop (not mobile)

Log into your FTX.US account on desktop (not mobile), click on your email in the top right corner and click on “API”

Step 2: Create API Key

Click on ‘API’ on the bottom left of the page and select ‘Create API key’

Step 3: Copy the API key that is generated

How to connect to Alpha Impact?

Step 4: Log into Alpha Impact Platform

Go to your Alpha Impact Account (web app) and log in. Click ‘Linked Portfolio

 Then either click on the green “+” icon or “+ Connect”

 OR  

Step 5: Create a Portfolio

Give your FTX.US portfolio a name and description.

Select FTX.US as your choice of exchange to integrate, and input sub-account information if you are using an FTX.US sub-account.

For users using multiple FTX.US sub-accounts, you can link only one sub-account to Alpha Impact at one go. 

To link your other FTX.US sub-accounts, you will need to repeat this 10-step process again.

For the sub-account connection to be successful, the sub-account name given on Alpha Impact must match the name of your FTX sub-account.

 

Step 6: Paste your FTX.US API keys

Paste in the API key previously copied from FTX.US.

Go back to FTX.US and copy your API secret (not the same as the API key).

And you’re done!

Remember to make your portfolio public to other Alpha Impact users to gain followers and begin monetizing your trades!

Once you have successfully linked your API keys, your FTX.US portfolio performance, composition, trades, and movements should be displayed on your account dashboard within a few minutes.
