Alpha Impact 2021 Q3 August-September Technical Updates (and more Q4 plans)

August and September flew by, and we’re back with another update! Be prepared as this is several weeks’ worth of updates. We’ve got some big announcements here, and a fresh upgrade to Alpha Impact just hit browsers near you. Read on to see what’s in store!

 

User experience upgraded

We’re happy to announce the homepage of Alpha Impact’s app now has the option to show a global feed and another option to “cut the noise” and show followed trader feeds! In August, our platform coded images into posts so users can upload files in jpegs, png, and more. In September, our beta testers requested hyperlinks to get preview images. You can now paste links directly onto Alpha Impact to see an image preview. Not only that, we’re planning to integrate GIPHY on our platform so users can comment or post GIF status updates with the click of a button. After feedback, the dev team added a new notifications indicator to alert users of new notifications in the side navigation bar. We also added a user feedback channel in the side navigation bar. The front-end search bar was implemented for users in August however has limited search functionality. The front-end search bar now allows multi-search (now users can find traders, posts, and hashtags). Hashtags are now clickable. The announcement banner on the app has been reformatted into a carousel and has an auto-update on Medium to regularly capture new articles posted by the team at Alpha Impact.

 

Trading Performance includes more stats

The trader ranking leaderboard now incorporates Sharpe Ratio (Risk-adjusted returns) so users can see the expected return on investment while removing the trader’s rate of risk. The portfolio composition page has a checkbox added that allows users to hide small balances that constitute <0.01% of their portfolio. All coins listed on Binance on the portfolio will now have icons/logos for a better user experience. The portfolio table has been upgraded to show the live asset price (For example BTC worth US$47000). The Plankton trading competition is now available on the website! Log in to Alpha Impact’s web app and click on ‘Competitions’ in the side navigation bar. The competition begins tonight!

 

Refer a Friend

Users can now invite their friends to Alpha Impact via email using individual referral codes. Traders new to Binance.com can now sign up on Binance with a 10% bonus when using Alpha Impact’s referral code to link the portfolio to Alpha Impact.

 

Stay Tuned for Future Updates

That’s not all. We’re planning to integrate GIPHY on our platform so users can comment or post GIF status updates with the click of a button. Our current trading notifications will have a manual copy button. Trading signals will allow basic copy trading features (allowing users to copy the trades of others manually). IMPACT Wallet will be integrated into the Alpha Impact app for easy transactions. There will be membership tier segregation with more features on higher tiers. This is in collaboration with NFTs we are creating with copy trading utility. Since Binance.com has successfully been integrated with trade signals, the next exchange integration we are working with is FTX.

After navigating the complexities of the crypto market and being early movers with automated copy trading, Alpha Impact has reached a difficult crossroads. Due to unsustainable cloud infrastructure costs, we are announcing the formal cessation of all platform services.
 
The Hard Stop Date: Thursday, April 23, 2026
 
On this date, the Alpha Impact web and mobile applications, all trade automation, and API-linked intelligence engines will go offline permanently.
 
Critical Action: Withdraw Your Assets
If you hold assets on the Alpha Impact platform, you must initiate a withdrawal to a self-managed custodial wallet by April 16, 2026.
 
Eligibility Minimums:
FOLO Balance: 1,500 FOLO
USDT: 1 USDT
FOLO Points: 15,000 Points (Must convert to FOLO Balance in-app first)
 
Security & API Keys:
Non-Custodial Safety: Your funds on linked exchanges (Binance & Kucoin) are SAFE. Our shutdown only disconnects the automation.
Revoke Access: We strongly advise all users to manually delete their "Alpha Impact" API keys directly within their Binance or Kucoin API settings immediately.
Data Purge: On April 23, we will execute a permanent scrub of all encrypted API keys to ensure user privacy and security.
 
⚠️ Security Warning
Alpha Impact staff will NEVER ask for your seed phrase, private keys, or passwords. We will never ask you to "migrate" funds to a new address. Only use the official app for withdrawals.
 
A Final Note
We are incredibly proud of the $100M+ in trade volume and the next-gen trade intelligence engine we built together. While this journey is ending sooner than we envisioned, we thank you for your "diamond hands" and support through the highs and lows.
