How to connect your Binance account to Alpha Impact?

Quick Setup Guide for Binance API Connection

1. Log in to app.alphaimpact.fi

Log in to Binance on a web browser, navigate to “API Management” in your Account settings, and click “Create API”.

2. Create API

Click “Create API” and select “System Generated”.

3: Enable Permissions

Next, click on “Edit Restrictions”. We strongly recommend enabling Spot & Margin Trading* under API restrictions, and Restrict access to trusted IPs only under IP access restrictions.

*Enable Spot & Margin Trading to auto-copy your portfolio and unlock advanced risk management services.

4: Whitelist your IP Addresses 

To your whitelist of trusted IPs, add 52.220.91.198 and 13.213.195.58. Remember to press Enter after writing each address.

5: Complete Security Verification

Complete 2FA verification and save both your API Key and Secret Key. Don’t share them with anyone, not even us!

Connecting to Alpha Impact

1. Log in to app.alphaimpact.fi

Open Alpha Impact, find “Linked Portfolios” from the left-hand menu bar, and click “Add”.

2. Enter Binance API Key Credentials

Enter your Binance API Key and Secret Key. Don’t share this with anyone, not even us!

3. Enable Permissions

Remember, “Spot & Margin Trading” must be enabled if you wish to monetise your profile and set up TP/SL triggers.

Your portfolio will now be visible!

Note: Whilst whitelisting is not mandatory, we highly encourage it for added security purposes. 

Linking Your Binance Portfolio FAQ

1. Why do I need to create an API key?

An API key connects your Binance account to Alpha Impact. It lets us show your portfolio and handle copy trading. We can only see your trades – we can’t withdraw your funds.

2. Is it safe to share my API credentials with Alpha Impact?

Yes. When you whitelist our IP addresses (52.220.91.198 and 13.213.195.58), only Alpha Impact can use your API key. Never share your Secret Key with anyone else.

3. Do I have to whitelist the IP addresses?

No, but we strongly recommend it. It’s an extra security step that ensures only Alpha Impact can use your API key.

4. Why do I need Spot & Margin Trading permissions?

You need these permissions if you want others to copy your trades or to unlock our advanced risk management services. Without them, people can still view your portfolio but can’t copy your trades.

5. What if I lose my API Secret Key?

Delete the old API key on Binance and make a new one. You can’t recover a lost Secret Key.

6. Can everyone see my portfolio?

Yes, your basic trading activity will be public. However, you can choose to put more in-depth analytics under a paywall.

7. What should I do if I can’t connect my account?

Check these common fixes:

• Verify your API credentials are typed correctly
• Make sure all permissions are turned on
• Check that the IP addresses are entered correctly

8. Can I connect more than one Binance account?

Yes. Create a new API key for each account and add them separately in “Linked Portfolios.”

9. How do I disconnect my Binance account?

You can disconnect your Binance account in two ways:

• Delete the API key in your Binance account
• Remove the connection in Alpha Impact under “Linked Portfolios”
